Day 94 – Snail Mail Fan Mail

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a Fan Mail Friday, so here goes! This little card is headed to the folks at Snailmailcool, a snail mail themed Facebook page. They recently celebrated their one year anniversary, and sent out some celebratory packs as gifts to some followers. I got one, which included a few cute stickers, some really cute snail postcards, and a note card. I look forward to using all of it!

The Vintage Email stamp comes from Vanness, my local pen shop/part time job, and the Good Mail stamp is from The Well Appointed Desk. I have no idea where the little sparkly heart sticker came from, but I kinda enjoy them, despite being the least girly human on the planet.

Day 93 – Making Friends

It’s amazing how close you can get to a person over only a few letters. Last time I wrote to this penpal, I ended up writing about politics, religion, the culture of the area I live in… things I usually wouldn’t broach in a letter. He wrote back a very thoughtful reply, so I’m sending him one in return. What a nice guy.

Day 92 – Random Acts of (Birthday) Cards

This pretty little card is headed to a Random Acts of Cards user in Washington. They’d requested birthday cards, because they – like most of us – don’t get enough snail mail. I was more than happy to help 🙂

I took yesterday off because of the holiday, and today is a little late, but it still works!

Day 90 – New Penpal, Same Silly Drawing

I’ve started including this silly drawing on almost every letter I send out. I don’t know why, guess I just find it amusing. This letter is to a new penpal, Alexa. It’s always kinda fun to write to a new person. I guess I just enjoy trying to describe myself via snail mail. It’s a challenge, for sure.

What do you talk about in intro letters?

Day 62 – Even More Christmas Cards!

Sorry for the kinda monotonous posts lately, but I bought a box of these christmas-y cards so I’ve been trying to send them out before it gets super obvious that I’m sending them out late…

This card (and extra page with the penguin stamp 🙂 ) is headed to my penpal Chris in Virginia. He just finished his semester of school, so between that and the holidays we have a lot to talk about!

The pen is my TWSBI Mini with Noodlers Operation Overlord Orange from November’s Ink Drop. A nice, solid orange ink that’s dark enough to be legible, but it’s still a fun, vibrant orange ink. Maybe not something that I’ll use a lot, but it’s pretty!
